BRIGG PUB OFFERING SPECTACULARLY SPOOKY SATURDAY NIGHT OUT WITH PRIZES TO BE WON

As Brigg people look to plan their weekend pub visits and Halloween celebrations, it will be possible to combine the two into one.
The historic Dying Gladiator, on Bigby Street, has now furnished us with details of what will be on offer during its 'Spectacularly Spooky Saturday Night' on October 30, from 7pm until late.
The Glad staff will be entering into the Halloween spirit by mixing special drinks for their "fiendish friends" which include newcomers Sadistic Shot and Satan's Ghoulies; plus a Blood Thirsty Cocktail.
From 9pm to 11pm there will also be a competition to find the best and most outrageous fancy dress costumes.
First prize will be a £50 bar tab; second prize a £30 tab; third prize a £20 tab - all well worth winning.
There will also be 'doubling up' offers on certain spirits between 7pm and 11pm, including the aptly-named Blood Orange Gin.
Resident DJ, Disco Dave, will be providing his popular Saturday night karaoke and disco.
We hope he's got Halloween favourite The Monster Mash by Bobby 'Boris' Pickett & The Crypt Kickers on his playlist, though it was recorded long before he was born. It proved to be a 'Graveyard Smash' in the pop charts!
The issue of the Gladiator's Halloween cocktail list follows Brigg Blog's recent reference to Dracula's Breakfast, which was mixed and served up atsome Brigg bars in the 1980s.
