FUNDING BID TO PROVIDE OUTDOOR GYM EQUIPMENT IN BRIGG

A bid for a grant to help provide new leisure equipment in Brigg for public use is to be considered in the very near future.
North Lincolnshire Council has received an application for assistance submitted by Brigg Town Council.
In the town authority's budget for the 2021/22 financial year which began in early April, money was set aside for new outdoor gym equipment near the riverbank and on the Millennium Green.
North Lincolnshire Council is now being asked for a grant to help with the purchase and installation.
An officer's report compiled by the unitary council is recommending approval, subject to a condition that a "final licence for land with NLC is approved."
North Lincolnshire Council has a pot of cash available to groups "with social aims to deliver community sport, arts or
heritage capital projects."
The authority has set a decision-making date of "not before October 14" for Brigg's application.
In addition, Cadney Community Gardeners are seeking funds to assist with the cost of a new tool shed.
