HARVEST FESTIVAL DONATIONS TO BRIGG FOOD BANK BEING WELCOMED

Donations are to be made to Brigg Food Bank during a church service being held in the town tomorrow (Sunday, October 10).
St John's Church, between Bigby Street and Wrawby Street, will be holding its annual Harvest Festival Service, starting at 9.30am.
Suitable donations will be greatly appreciated for the Food Bank which forwards them on to needy local people.
The Food Bank is soon to establish a new distribution centre in the former Greggs shop on Wrawby Street.
For centuries the autumn Harvest Festival has been the time when people say thanks, through produce, for crops raised in the fields to feed them and their families over the colder months to follow when nothing could be grown.

Dates to note: St John's Church will be the venue for Brigg's Remembrance Sunday Service on November 14, from 9.50am. In December there will be a Crib Service on Christmas Eve (6pm) and a Communion Service on Boxing Day (9.30am).
