Local man Neil Stapleton kindly sent us dramatic air views of the swollen and silt-laden River Ancholme in Brigg yesterday (Sunday, February 7).
Heavy rain on Friday and Saturday led to a flood alert on our section of the waterway.
Featured in Neil's image seen above are the Ancholme Way Bridge, which carries the A18 over the river, the B&M store near to the riverbank and Tesco, off Barnard Avenue.
The view below, looking north, shows part of the Atherton Way industrial estate (right), with Smithy's Pond and Glanford Boat Club on Island Carr to the left and centre.
