WEEKEND EVENTS COMING UP IN BRIGG & DISTRICT

Two town centre licensed premises in Brigg will be
hosting disco & karaoke sessions on Saturday night (April 2).
Those who like music and dancing will be very welcome at the Dying Gladiator, on Bigby Street, and the Market Place's Woolpack.
Disco music will feature at Wrawby Street's Black Bull and Britannia Inn.
Unfortunately, Brigg Town Football Club has had to cancel the scheduled live music gig which was to take place in the licensed Hawthorns clubhouse on Saturday night. This is due to circumstances unconnected with the venue. However, tonight (Friday) sees the first in a series of pool tournaments offering prizes (from 7pm).
Singer Ricky Lee will be performing "modern hits and classic favourites" at Broughton Working Men's Club on Saturday evening.
A real ale festival is now under way at Wetherspoon's White Horse pub & restaurant, on Wrawby Street, Brigg, and is set to continue until Sunday, April 10.
There will be a traditional (general) Saturday market in Brigg town centre on April 2, from 8.30am, offering fruit & veg, flowers and fish.
Brigg & District Servicemen's Club, on Coney Court, does not have a live music 'turn' booked for Saturday night. It will be staging an Easter party for children on Sunday, April 10, from 1pm. This is a ticket-only event. Inquire at the venue for details.
The club also informs that it is now hosting a new group "for those who feel alone and isolated" starting on Thursday, April 7, from 6pm with other A Place to be Together meetings to follow on the first and third Thursday each month.
