SUNDAY SPORT TO WATCH IN BRIGG, BARNETBY & BROUGHTON


Brigg Town Football Club will be hosting a cup final at the EC Surfacing Stadium tomorrow (Sunday, April 24).
Trinity and BFC will be meeting to decide the 2021/22 winners of the Bob Bedford Memorial Cup (2pm kick-off).
This competition is organised by the Paul Fox Scunthorpe Sunday League in memory of a former long-serving football administrator and referee.
In Division One tomorrow, Broughton WMC will host Mulligans (11am), while Black Bull entertain Duffs Dynamos in a Division Three match being played at Barnetby's Silver Street venue rather than at Brigg Recreation Ground. It kicks off at 10.30am.

Brigg Town FC Veterans will be visiting the coast at Withernsea on Sunday afternoon - looking to gain more points in their bid to finish top of Hull & District Veterans League Division Four.
Broughton Cricket Club has a home tie against Rodley tomorrow afternoon in the first round of the Voneous Village Cup 2022 and hope to progress further in this national knockout competition.
Sunday morning also sees the Early Brigg Sprint Triathlon by FastFWD Sports. It is centred on the Ancholme Leisure Centre at Scawby Brook, and entrants will be swimming, followed by cycling 20k and running 5k on local courses.

PLEASE NOTE: There is more football to watch today (Saturday) at the EC Surfacing Stadium (Hawthorns) where the Brigg Town Development XI has a Supplementary Cup quarter-final against Grantham Town Academy (2.30pm kick-off). This competition is organised by the Balcan Lighting Supplies Lincolnshire League.
