An area of Brigg is seeing a range of building projects progressing steadily. Seen above are artist's impressions showing how things will look when two of them have been completed.
Bridge Street - between the Old River Ancholme and the New 'cut' - has the following taking shape after the granting of planning permission:
- Three dwellings (with garages) and a retail unit on the site of the former cycle shop at 11 & 12 Bridge Street, adjoining the corner of Forester Street.
- Almost 70 residential properties of various types from Keigar Homes on the former Falcon Cycles site, accessed from Falcon Way (a newly road connecting with the A18).
- A block of Bridge Court apartments for the over-55s close to the Bridge Street/Island Carr Road mini-roundabout.
Our pictures seen below - taken on Wednesday, April 20 - show these developments coming along.
Adjoining the County Bridge, refurbishment of the long-closed White Hart pub is also progressing steadily - internally and externally.
And a former chapel on Bridge Street (near Manley Gardens) is listed to be auctioned next week. This has been vacant for many months since AF Carpets relocated to purpose-built premises off Ancholme Way. The selling agents point out that, subject to planning approval being obtained, the chapel/retail sales building could be used for other purposes.
The artist's impressions above show the housing & retail unit project for 11 & 12 Bridge Street (top) and Keigar's Falcon development.
