Some varied Brigg & district applications have been submitted to North Lincolnshire Council and are now being considered by local authority planners.
A Hull-based agent for Humberside Fire & Rescue Service is seeking approval for fire-fighter recruitment displays at the Brigg station on Barnard Avenue, facing the A18.
This signage has been there for some time but requires advertisement consent "to display vinyl wrapping images to one roller shutter & one pedestrian door."
Approval, to last for five years, is now being sought through a formal application under the Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisement) (England) Regulations 2007.
Brigg Town Council has been consulted and raised no objections.
Similar applications are also now under consideration for signage at Kirton Lindsey Fire Station on West Cross Street, and for the town station serving Crowle.
Meanwhile, Brigg's Demeter House School, on Bigby Street, has given North Lincolnshire planners notice of intention to remove a leyland cypress tree within the conservation area.
The school has informed the council this tree is very close to its main building and also a perimeter wall, while its roots have potential to damage drainage. "So we are hoping to remove the tree," the application explains.
Brigg Town Council will be consulted as part of the planning process.
Planning permission is being sought to erect a a two-storey side extension and make internal alterations to the dwelling at 7 Westrum Lane, Brigg.
In Scawby Brook, planning permission is being requested for a steel container-style cabin containing welfare and restroom facilities at Sangreat Kennels, Inglenook, Scawby Road (located near the former Brigg Sugar Factory service road).
West Lindsey Council is now considering a planning application for conversion of crew yard buildings to provide three dwellings on land adjacent to Kettleby House, Kettleby Lane, Kettleby, near Brigg.
The tree located close to the main building at Demeter House School, within the Brigg Conservation Area. |
West Lindsey planners have granted permission for two-storey side and single-storey rear extensions at Orton House, High Street, North Kelsey.
