PUB REFURBISHMENT IN BRIGG IS A SHINING EXAMPLE

The sun shining down on the historic White Hart pub in Brigg over Easter 2022. This historic hostelry is being refurbished.

Sunny conditions in Brigg for the start of the Easter bank holiday yesterday (Friday, April 15) prompted us to focus the camera on a shining example of pub refurbishment.
Fine beer garden weather for this time of year saw Brigg Blog taking a look at the White Hart, on Bridge Street, which has been closed for some years but is now being lavishly refurbished.
This historic grade two listed building (once owned by a nearby local brewery) became one of the town centre's most popular venues, particularly during warmer months of the year when its side beer garden, overlooking the Old River Ancholme, proved a major attraction.
In the not too distant future, we look forward to photographing the finished product, following the refurb project's completion.
North Lincolnshire Council granted planning permission and listed building consent in summer 2021 for the erection of a two-storey extension, partial change of use to add self-catering accommodation in addition to the public house, and demolition of part of a building.
Below is a picture from our archive showing the White Hart beer garden in use during Brigg Bike Night 2016.
With more sunny weather forecast for today (Saturday) all the beer gardens adjoining Brigg's licensed premises will find many takers as people look to enjoy the good weather and a pint or three.
