A development to provide 16 new homes is planned in Brigg.
The single-storey detached properties will have two bedrooms and car parking provided.
The scheme is proposed for the disused 1.1-acre former Brigg Resource Centre and Community Hub site off Horstead Avenue, on the edge of the Springbank estate, at DN20 8PX.
A Lincolnshire construction and building services company has now submitted a planning application seeking approval to erect the dwellings "with associated access and landscaping works."
A statement submitted in support of the application says: "An opportunity exists to create a strong vibrant development specifically for the over 55s."
It adds: "The proposed properties are striking in appearance and use a combination of a buff brick with white rendered panels."
Each property will benefit from a terraced area to the rear, "along with sufficient amenity space."
The statement concludes by saying the scheme presented "is a good response to the site and its setting whilst providing valuable housing stock to a group whose housing needs have been identified as in short supply (over 55s)."
The application will be considered and decided by North Lincolnshire Council, with Brigg Town Council being consulted as part of the planning process.
A public consultation period is now under way and will end on April 19.
