PROMINENT BRIGG BUILDING COMING UP FOR AUCTION

A well-known building in Brigg is set to be auctioned later this month.
Described as The Old Chapel on Bridge Street (on the corner of Manley Gardens), it housed the showrooms of AF Carpets until the local firm relocated to new premises off Ancholme Way two years ago.
The former chapel at DN20 8LP has been included in an online sales auction to be conducted by national agent Pugh & Co on April 27.
The guide price indicated is £178,000. Pugh & Co says while this property has been most recently used as a retail and showroom unit with a warehousing aspect to the rear, it would be suitable for various other uses and/or redevelopment subject to the necessary planning consents. This is a grade two listed building.
Pugh & Co is the joint agent with local company Clark Weightman.
