Funeral arrangements have now been announced for a businesswoman who met hundreds of Brigg shoppers over many years.
Sylvia Riggall, who enjoyed a very long association with Brian's DIY on Wrawby Street, died recently aged 80.
As many Brigg Blog followers will be aware, she was married to proprietor Brian and also partnered him in running the very well-stocked shop as its range of services and premises extended down the decades.
Ken Harrison, who has supplied these pictures featuring 'Slyv' from his archive, tells us the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 27 at St Mary's Church, Wrawby, from 10.30am, to be followed by committal at Woodlands, Scunthorpe.
The image above shows Sylvia and Brian in their shop and illustrated a Brigg Blog post about the Brian's DIY open day held in the run up to Christmas 2011.
The premises had just been refurbished, and a raffle was held to raise funds for the Brigg LIVES first responders - first prize being a Kindle.
