SIGNS THAT NEW STORE IN BRIGG & WOLDS IS NEARING COMPLETION

The new Co-op food store being built in Barnetby village, June 2022

Work continues to create the latest food store within North Lincolnshire Council's Brigg & Wolds Ward.
Following the granting of planning permission some months ago, building work continues in Barnetby,
And our local authority is now considering a further application from Lincolnshire Co-operative Limited for signs - facia, lozenge and totem - to be installed at the store on the former Deborah Scaffolding site off Victoria Road.
It is taking shape near the railway underpass and close to the disused Barnetby East signalbox.
Planners will decide the signage application in due course following a public consultation period which ends on June 30.
The store project, which is expected to create 14 full-time jobs, was delayed by the onset of the Coronavirus emergency. Summer 2022 now seems likely
for completion.
Barnetby's Co-op will stock fresh and frozen goods, "100% British" meat, fruit & veg, chilled beers and wines and freshly baked bread, pastries and "sweet treats."
Our thanks go to Barnetby resident Lee Fielden for the picture seen above.
