PREVIEWING BRIGG EVENTS THIS SATURDAY TO MARK THE QUEEN'S PLATINUM JUBILEE

There will be a special Best of British Market in Brigg town centre on Saturday (June 4) as part of celebrations for The Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
Stallholders will be selling a wide range of produce in the Market Place and along Wrawby Street, from 9am into the afternoon.
There will be a colourful ceremony to watch and a procession to follow from 11am - The Blessing of the Pumps.
Flowers will garland the preserved cast-iron survivors which once provided water for town centre households without piped or private supplies.
The old pumps are located on the Grammar School Road South (at the side of Wetherspoon's White Horse pub) and adjoining the County Bridge (near the former Nelthorpe Arms).
Street entertainment and music will be on offer in the town centre until 4pm.
Many people will be keen to enjoy free boat trips on the River Ancholme being provided by Brigg-based Glanford Boat Club from 10am to 4pm.
The pick-up point is the wooden jetty near the A18 Ancholme Way Bridge (close to the B&M store's rear car park and the Memorial Garden).
The St John's Church Jubilee Flower Festival will continue from 9.30am on Saturday - admission free, donations welcome.
The Black Bull pub, on Wrawby Street, is offering a free-to-attend We Love The 1980s music gig in its beer garden, featuring Shane Peckover, from 8pm to 10pm.
Singer Amanda Jayne will be performing at the Woolpack, Market Place, from 9pm (free admission to the gig - all welcome), while Disco Dave will be playing all the music people want to hear at the Dying Gladiator, Bigby Street, well into the night.

Brigg Town Football Club is hosting a free-to-attend Jubilee Weekend disco at its licensed Hawthorns clubhouse on Saturday, 7pm to 11pm - all welcome. This will feature hits from the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s.

Brigg & District Servicemen's Club, Coney Court, has The Ragdolls performing a ticket-only concert on Saturday night, together with disco and buffet.
