BRIGG PUNK BAND BADGE NOW SOMETHING OF A COLLECTOR'S ITEM

Here's a badge to bring back memories of the Brigg music scenes decades ago.
It was issued by local punk band The Diseased, who started in the 1980s and played gigs at various locations in North Lincolnshire, including Brigg Corn Exchange.
There's a YouTube video online of the lads performing at the Winter Gardens, Cleethorpes, circa 2005.
There have been occasional re-appearances, including a special pre-Christmas gig with Brigg Music Club at the Britannia Inn, on Wrawby Street, during which long-serving landlord Phil Clipson's joined them as a vocalist on one of the numbers.
We still see some members of the band around Brigg  from time to time.
Today's local band, The Dirty Pitchers, announced they had badges available for fans ahead of their recent gig at The Exchange.
That reminded Brigg Blog of The Diseased badge the lads had given us many years ago. Just how long can be judged from the fact it was pinned to a denim jacket we liked to wear on sport-playing weekends.
The badge took a bit of finding among our collection of sporting and other memorabilia, but here it is.
How many others have survived into 2018?
The Diseased performed some songs with a local flavour, including I Spent £4.30 - the cost of a ROUND of drinks to consume in their favoured corner of the concert room, near the stage, at Brigg Servicemen's Club in the late 1980s.
The wording on this badge refers to another tune, Postman Pat.
Sadly, the creator of the children's TV character of that name, John Cunliffe, died very recently, aged 85.
