BRIGG PLAYING FIELD 'NEEDS MORE UP-TO-DATE EQUIPMENT'

A former Brigg Town Mayor has suggested that a children's play area in the town could do with  investment to improve its facilities.
Coun Ann Eardley  was responding to our recent Brigg Blog post about a local benefactor who donated land off Bigby Road for this playing field decades ago.
She said: "The Davy memorial playing field is in need of new play equipment.
"It is such a large area with plenty of space for more up-to-date play equipment like in the other play areas in the the town."
Perhaps Coun Eardley will raise this issue at a future Brigg Town Council meeting.
The Town Council or North Lincolnshire Council, which manages the park, might be asked to put some money in the budget for new play equipment at the Davy field.
Currently there's a fenced-off area containing play equipment but the remainder of the field has only a small football kick-about area with goalposts. So there's plenty of room to make some additions.
