Lee Fielden's 500th game as the Barnetby football manager proved to be bitter sweet on Saturday, October 27 2018.
The former Brigg Town cricketer, pictured above, received a special cake with 500 and a goal on the top for decoration, but United lost the match in Scunthorpe.
Brigg Blog's report last week highlighting Lee's approaching milestone - view it here - was very well read on our site, and a link posted on Facebook prompted many people to comment on his achievement and contribution to local football over many years.

MATCH PICTURES AND REPORT FROM LEE FIELDEN
Barnetby’s Hospital Cup hoodoo continued as they saw a 2 goal lead evaporate in the last 30 minutes to lose 4-2 at College Wanderers.
Joe Stothard’s 1st goal for the club put Barnetby 1-0 up on 10 minutes but it was College who had the better of the first half chances and Thirkell in the Barnetby goal kept his side in the game.
On 58 minutes Ben Hunt notched his 6th of the season to put the Railwaymen 2-0 up but a triple injury to Scott, Mcphee and Dunnion saw a major reshuffle.
College scrambled a goal back with half an hour remaining and from then on it was one way traffic as they ran out deserved 4-2 winners.
