TRAIN TRIP WITH A DIFFERENCE COMING TO WRAWBY & BARNETBY

Barnetby and Wrawby Junction will be on the route taken by a special train on Saturday, October 20.
Railway enthusiasts are heading north from London King's Cross to tour some of the extensive network of lines within British Steel's Scunthorpe Works.
UK Railtours is running the "Man of Steel" which will be hauled by modern diesel locos.
The train will reverse at Barnetby after arriving there from Newark.
Timings have yet to be announced.
Today's Railways UK magazine suggests in its September issue that some "industrial traction" will possibly be used within the works after the train arrives at British Steel.
The works internal rail network is normally off limits to the public, apart from spring and summer Saturday tours run by the Appleby-Frodingham Railway Preservation Society.
These tours allow passengers to view blastfurnaces, coke ovens and rolling mills from the safety of the carriages.
Places can only be booked through  Brigg Tourist Information Centre at the Buttercross.
