VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO CREATE CASCADE OF POPPIES IN BRIGG
During the First World War, many people from Brigg and surrounding villages volunteered for duty.
Now YOU can answer the call to help create a Cascade of Poppies in commemoration of the Armistice being signed on November 11, 1918 between the Allies and Germany, through which the guns finally fell silent after a bloody conflict lasting four years.
The organisers are asking YOU to help them remember and honour The Fallen through building the Cascade, to be hung from the balcony of the landmark Angel building in the Market Place.
Those who feel able to help are asked to call in at Brigg Heritage Centre, on the first floor of the Angel, and sign up for duty.
Opening hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday - 10am to 3pm.
