Brigg and Goole MP Andrew Percy (pictured above) visited our town centre's Angel Suite to give his support to the Google Digital Garage yesterday - Friday, October 12, 2018.
It proved to be a well-attended event during which experts from the global phenomenon passed on top tips and advice to help small businesses and shops market themselves on the web to generate additional sales.
"Learn how to grow your business" was the offer - and the advice came free!
Coun Debs Dunderdale was there to represent the Brigg Town Business Partnership, while Coun Rob Waltham (Brigg & Wolds Ward) was present as the leader of North Lincolnshire Council.
Dainty and tasty iced cakes with Google's branding on the top proved popular, with refreshments being served by Angel Suite manager Karen Deeley.
Brigg Blog would have liked to linger a lot longer at the Garage but had a couple of other Press-ing engagements elsewhere.
As Google hosts our website and provides detailed statistics to show how it's doing, we tender our apologies for heading off after listening to the opening addresses.
The Digital Garage is visiting other market towns, and Brigg should feel pleased to have secured a place on the list.
We trust those who attended gained a good deal of useful information during the session, which started mid-morning and went on into the afternoon.
People present at the Angel Suite were drawn from a wide area. One of the delegates said he was looking to set up his own small business venture with an online presence.
