NEW FLATS PLANNED IN BRIGG TOWN CENTRE

Only a few hours after Brigg Blog suggested we could do with more living accommodation within the town centre, plans were made public to create two more flats.
Our suggestion came while reporting  the completion of a project to turn a former office on Cross Street into a flat.
Now there plans to do likewise at commercial premises on nearby Bigby Street.
Planning permission for change of use to two residential flats, including replacement windows and doors and rendering, is being requested for 40 Bigby Street.
This  formerly housed Brigg & Goole MP Andrew Percy's Brigg office before he re-located to Morley Yard.
For some years, 40 Bigby Street was used as an accountancy office.
Stephen Smith, of Worlaby, is seeking permission to create the new flats, through his agent Chris Dixey, DDS1 Limited, Brigg.
North Lincolnshire Council,  the local planning authority, is now considering the application, which involves a building within the the town's Conservation Area.
