GETTING TO GRIPS WITH BRIGG LITTER

Brigg is to get an extra waste bin and an additional public seat.
The Town Council has agreed to put the bin on Atherton Way and the seat on Bigby High Road.
Coun Rob Waltham told the authority's latest meeting that the bin would be a big, free-standing one.
It will help combat litter, with Coun Ann Eardley reporting that cans and bottles are regularly discarded near the allotments in this area of  town.
Coun Sharon Riggall suggested a suitable site for the bin would be midway along Atherton Way, and this was agreed.
Introduced following a request from residents, the Bigby High Road seat will be erected on an existing concrete base near the postbox.
