BRIGG POPPY 10K 2018 ALREADY HAS 200 COMPETITORS WITH MORE TO FOLLOW


Now we are into October, people are wondering about the date of this year's Brigg Poppy 10k and Military Challenge.
With 300 entries already received, this year's event from the town centre along Elwes Street and Cadney Road will take place on Sunday, October 28.
Runners will meet up in the Market Place, with the Military Challnge starting at 9.30 and the Poppy 10k at 9.45am.
Five hundred is the maximum number of entries permitted for this major spectator event which benefits the  Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
Race organisation is being undertaken by Curly's Athletes, with the prize-giving around 11.15am to 11.30am.
The minimum age for those taking part is 16.
Military Challenge competitors are required to wear boots and carry a weighted backpack.
