BRIGG CRIME FIGURES RELEASED BY POLICE
Latest Brigg crime figures have been released, showing incidents reported within a one-mile radius of the town centre.
Statistics issued through www.police.uk show 64 incidents in August 2018 - a sizeable reduction on July's 81.
Here are the categories issued by the police:

Shoplifting 0

Violence and sexual offences 27
Seventeen of these offences took place at, or near, the town centre.
Nine of the 64 crimes reported were outside Brigg but within a one-mile radius of the town centre. They took place close to Brigg in neighbouring Scawby and Broughton parishes.
By way of comparison, August 2017 saw 67 Brigg incidents, while in August 2016 there were only 47.
