LEAGUE WELCOMING NEWCOMERS AT MEETING IN BRIGG

The annual general meeting of a popular pool competition is to be held in Brigg.
Now planning for the 2022/23 season, the Barton & District Pool League will be holding an evening meeting on Tuesday, September 27 at Brigg Town Football Club's Hawthorns Clubhouse.
Additional teams are welcome to seek membership on the night - the cost being £35 (payable at this session).
Last season saw Squash Club Bees win the Premier section, Thatch B secure the Division One championship, and Brigg Town Zebras top Division Two.

CRICKET: Lincolnshire's county cricketers were beaten by Berkshire in the NCCA Championship Final which concluded in West Bromwich yesterday (Wednesday, September 7). Almost two-thirds of the scheduled play over four days was washed out by rain, and Berks took the title by virtue of managing a higher first innings total. Scores: Lincolnshire 176 and 65 for one (after 15 overs), Berkshire 310. Lincs qualified for the final as champions of Division One East in what was previously known as the Minor Counties Championship, while Berks did likewise in the West.
