A Brigg schoolboy in the 1960s, Peter Bielawski has been in touch with us from Melbourne, Australia, where he has lived since 1977.
We both attended the town's Glebe Road School (Brigg County Primary) at the same time in the '60s but had not met or corresponded since.
Peter - based 10,500 miles from North Lincolnshire - recently found our blog on the internet. Since then we've swapped some interesting memories from this period.
We can remember him playing for the school football team at Glebe Road and that he lived in the Lodge, off Wrawby Road, at the foot of the lengthy drive leading up to the distinctive detached property known as St Helens.
It featured in our newspaper round for Winne Cammack's Richardson's shop on Wrawby Street in the late 1960s/early 1970s, and generous Christmas tips were received from the then owner of St Helens.
The house is is still there today, as is the Lodge - located near the border between Brigg and Wrawby.
"My Mother worked in the big house," Peter reminded us.
We remember making autumn trips to the drive, with other children, in the 1960s - on the look out for conkers to string up and use for games.
Peter has now sent us the only two pictures he has from his time in Brigg. They show his Mum and older brothers near the Lodge.
He recalls watching the special match at the Hawthorns during the 1964/5 football season when Brigg Town FC played a Sheffield United team to mark the local club's 100th anniversary.
Peter supports Yorkshire's Blades and is hoping someone can supply the date of this game, score, the scorers and the teams line-ups.
Pictured below is a Brigg Blog picture, taken a few years ago, showing the Lodge, the drive and St Helens house in the distance, and also players from Brigg and Sheffield who took part in the centenary game.
