BRIGG TOWN FC USHER IN HOME WIN

Brigg Town Football Club climbed a couple of places up the table with a welcome 3-1 win yesterday (Saturday, September 3).
The Zebras saw off Staveley Miners Welfare 3-1 to record their first Toolstation Northern Counties East Division One home victory of the 2022/23 campaign at the EC Surfacing Stadium, although they have already won twice away.
Alfie Usher opened Brigg's account 10 minutes after the interval, with Dayle Hutson adding two goals towards the end of the match.
Yesterday's official attendance, 261, was by far the highest of the day in Division One.
Seven games into a 38-match league programme, Brigg are now ninth, with 12 points.
They have been beaten only once - winning three games, drawing three and losing one.
