Staffing issues are affecting some of the passenger trains timetabled to call at Brigg railway station today (Saturday, August 14). However, those that are unable to run will be replaced by a substitute bus service.
This morning the campaigning Independent Brigg Line Rail Group helpfully sent us information of use to potential passengers.
The first train of the morning from Sheffield to Cleethorpes via Brigg and Kirton Lindsey DID run, and our picture shows it exiting the town at 9.17pm, bound for Barnetby. It was on time.
11:38 Sheffield Midland - Cleethorpes via Brigg, booked Habrough 13:30, Grimsby Town 13:44, Cleethorpes 13:53 is cancelled. A replacement bus will run from Gainsborough Lea Road to Cleethorpes at 13:00, connecting out of the 11:53 from Sheffield.
15:11 Cleethorpes - Sheffield via Brigg, booked Grimsby Town 15:18, Habrough 15:27 is cancelled. A replacement bus service will run.
15:38 Sheffield - Cleethorpes via Brigg is cancelled. A replacement bus service will run from Gainsborough Lea Road to Cleethorpes at 17:00, connecting out of the 15:54 train from Sheffield to Lincoln.
19:17 Cleethorpes - Sheffield via Brigg, booked Grimsby Town 19:23, Habrough 19:33 is cancelled. A replacement bus service will run.
