A DAY WHEN BRIGG PEOPLE CAN LEARN ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE & THE ENVIRONMENT

Details of a forthcoming Environment Day have been revealed in Brigg town centre. And people living in the town and nearby can take part.
The Women's Institute has announced the Environment Day programme through its office on Queen Street.
The Lincolnshire & South Humberside Federation says this is your chance to learn more about the effects of climate change and also enjoy a great day out.
The event will be held at Scawby Village Hall on Friday, September 24, from 10am to 3pm (doors open 9.30).
Topics to be covered include:
  • Food wastage
  • Use and misuse of plastics
  • Electric cars
  • Pollinators for your garden
  • Recycling and 'upcycling' clothes & other items.
There will be a green-themed raffle and refreshments provided, with lunches available.
The cost of attending is £16 for WI members and £19 for non-members.
Contact the WI office in the town centre or local members for further details.
In support of recycling clothes, those attending are being asked to attend in outfits bought from local charity shops for less than a tenner. However, this is optional.
