Telecommunications company KCOM will be offering FREE ice creams to people in Brigg, Broughton, Hibaldstow and Scawby this week by way of a treat.
Hull-based KCOM has been busy installing its full fibre network on various streets in our town and neighbouring communities.
"We want to say a big thank you to residents for making us welcome," the firm explains. "So come and grab a free ice cream on us!"
It adds that youngsters and their guardians will be able to pick up a free 99 ice cream, complete with flake, or a non-dairy alternative, when the van visits various North Lincolnshire towns and villages this week, including some in our area.
On Wednesday, August 25 the van will be making three stops in Brigg, followed by Hibaldstow, Scawby and Broughton.
For a full list of locations and times for the KCOM ice cream van check out the company’s Twitter account @KCOMhome and its Facebook page, the company advises.
"Ice creams will be served on a first-come, first-served basis with one ice cream per customer with an option of a 99 ice cream cone or a non-dairy vegan alternative."
John Rooney, KCOM Retail’s managing director, said: “KCOM Wholesale & Networks’ engineers on the ground have been made to feel welcome from Barton to Brigg, and from Scawby to Crowle, so this is a small gesture from us to the people of North Lincolnshire to say thank you.
“So, when you see our ice cream van, please don’t hesitate to have a free ice cream on us – and enjoy the rest of the summer.”
