Brigg Town Cricket Club look like having a testing fixture tomorrow afternoon (Saturday, August 14).
With little action of late for various reasons, Brigg are away to Barton Town 2nds - very recent winners of the Supplementary Cup and three places above Brigg in the current Lincolnshire League Division Three standings.
Barton 2nds beat Outcasts 2nds by 35 runs in the cup final played on Sunday (August 8).
Long-serving former Brigg seam bowler Tom Brock is now with Barton.
Brigg and Barton have been playing each other, off and on, since the mid-1970s.
Broughton will be hoping to step up their push for promotion from Division One tomorrow with a good points haul from the fixture against Bracebridge Heath 2nds at the Scawby Road venue. In the same section, Hibaldstow will be at Heslam Park taking on Scunthorpe Town 2nds.
Broughton 2nds visit Lincoln to meet Hartsholme 2nds in Division Two.
All these Lincs League games begin at 1pm - an earlier start time which now applies until the end of the season next month.
