BRIGG COULD SEE NEW BUNGALOWS & TOWN HOUSES ON TWO SITES

New bungalows and town houses could be built in Brigg.
Planning permission is expected to be sought for two sites.
They are the former Community Hub off Horstead Avenue and the ex-Youth Centre fronting Grammar School Road.
The land off Horstead Avenue is large enough to accommodate many bungalows, while a couple of town houses would fit on the Grammar School Road site - planning permission being required for both developments to proceed.
Existing buildings would need to be demolished to make way for new properties.
Some months ago North Lincolnshire Council declared the Hub and the Youth Centre surplus to requirements as part of a scheme to upgrade and centralise local community facilities.
Both sites were placed on the property market and have since been sold 'subject to contract'.
There is considerable local demand for bungalows, particularly among people of more senior years, and also for town houses which appeal to those keen to step onto the property ladder for the first time.
