GLUT OF GOALS BUT BRIGG TOWN FC DROP FIRST POINTS OF THE SEASON

Brigg Town Football Club dropped first team points for this first time this season yesterday (Saturday, August 14).
The Zebras lost 4-3 to Selby Town in a ToolStation Northern Counties East Division One game at the EC Surfacing Stadium (Hawthorns).
Selby took the lead late in the first half and there was a goal rush after the interval.
Martin Pembleton, Scott Phillips and Alfie Usher netted for Brigg before a crowd of 170.
Due to yesterday's defeat, the Zebras are now sixth in the table, having won both their opening league fixtures.
The next first team outing will be away to North Ferriby on Tuesday night (August 17). As away matches go for the Zebras, this is a short trip to the other side of the Humber Bridge.
Brigg Town Development drew 1-1 at Horncastle yesterday in the Balcan Lighting Supplies Lincolnshire League Premier. Having lost their opening home game, this point sees the Development XI in 13th place in this 18-team division.
