FUNDRAISING BOOSTS FOR BRIGG MAYOR' CHARITY APPEAL

Brigg Town Mayor Coun Donald Campbell has thanked fellow councillors and work colleagues for supporting his appeal fund in aid of Pancreatic Cancer Action.
The town's first citizen began the council's latest meeting by announcing that £385 had been raised by his recent coffee morning in Brigg, while an event at the 2 Sisters factory in Scunthorpe, where he works as a team leader, contributed a further £1,035.
He extended "a very big thank-you" to everyone who helped.
Coun Donald  is raising money for Pancreatic Cancer Action throughout his year as the community's first citizen, which ends next spring.
