STAG AFTERNOON IN BRIGG WHICH SEES MANY STAG NIGHTS

Brigg has seen many pre-wedding stag nights, but this week there's going to be a Stag afternoon.
Football is still at the pre-season friendly stage, but some local pubs and eateries will enjoy a boost in takings this weekend when fans from afar pay the town centre a visit.
Supporters of Mansfield Town Football Club (the Stags) really enjoyed a refreshment stop in Brigg in April on the way to watch their Midlands club play at Scunthorpe United in Sky Bet League Two.
So much so that they are now planning a return to Brigg by bus for a longer stay this Saturday (July 23).
They are expected to arrive around noon and to stay through the afternoon.
If they want to watch a match, Brigg Town FC have a pre-season game.
When followers of the Stags visited Brigg in the Spring on coaches and mini-buses, many of them donned fancy dress while others stuck to the club colours (blue & yellow).
For many decades Brigg has been a popular refreshment stop for followers of various Football League clubs en route to watch their teams play in Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Hull and Lincoln.
