JULY POLICE PATROLS IN BRIGG AT 'HOTSPOT' AREAS

Local police will be conducting patrols within the Springbank estate in Brigg during July "after and increase in calls for service surrounding nuisance motorcycles."
The Brigg NPT (Neighbourhood Policing Team) says that since the lighter nights arrived there has been an increase in calls reporting nuisance motorcycles in the town, predominantly on Springbank.
"The majority of complaints surround the noise the motorcycles are making, particularly late at night and in the early hours of the morning," the team explains.
"Other reports are suggesting some of the motorcycles that are being ridden are not road-legal motorcycles and they are being ridden by persons not wearing the necessary protective equipment."
Other 'hotspot' areas in Brigg "where calls for service would identify areas as most in need of police attention" include Mill Lane, Atherton Way, the Recreation Ground, the Donkey Park and the River Ancholme.
Setting out its plans for July, the NPT says: "Patrols will continue in our 'hotspot' areas."
Officers will be holding a Street Surgery in Brigg Market Place on Wednesday, July 27, from 4pm to 5pm, meeting members of the public.
A similar session will take place on Thursday, July 14 on Victoria Road, Barnetby, 3.30pm to 4pm.
