BIG CROWD IN BRIGG ENJOYS FAREWELL GIG BY THE DIRTY PITCHERS

Rain showers failed to get in the way or dampen spirits in Brigg as local band The Dirty Pitchers played their farewell gig.
A big crowd enjoyed the free-to-attend Saturday night concert given by the well-known Britpop and alternative rock group, disbanding after seven years.
They took to the temporary stage in the rear beer garden of the Black Bull, off Wrawby Street, for a farewell party and swansong.
Brigg Blog dropped in prior to the gig, not long after a downpour, as the band prepared to perform, and then returned later when things were in full swing, to record the scenes as dozens of people danced to the music rain-free
It proved to be a very busy night for the pub management and the bar staff as The Pitchers signed off in style before an appreciative audience.
We've watched them perform many gigs at different local venues over the years, but can't recall a turn-out to match Saturday night's.
