FAREWELL PARTY GIG IN BRIGG BY THE DIRTY PITCHERS & THREE OTHER LIVE SHOWS THIS WEEKEND

Take your pick of live music gigs in Brigg this weekend with FOUR being staged at different venues and "free admission - all welcome" applying in all cases.
Local band The Dirty Pitchers will be in town on Saturday (July 2) to play their last gig together before bowing out after seven years.
The Britpop and alternative rock group will be on stage in the rear beer garden of the Black Bull, off Wrawby Street, for their farewell party and swansong, from 8pm.
The band is telling local people: "We hope you’ll be able to come and celebrate our time as The Dirty Pitchers; let’s party like it’s the '90s, one last time."
Market Place venue the Woolpack is offering karaoke and a disco tonight (Friday) and has singer Lauren performing on Saturday evening.
Vocalist Tori-Marie will be on stage at Brigg & District Servicemen's Club, Coney Court, on Saturday from 8.30pm, singing many present day hits.
Brigg Town Football Club, near Hawthorn Avenue, offers a Meat Loaf Tribute (Mark Greenshields) from 8.30pm in its licensed venue.
There will be a disco & karaoke at the Dying Gladiator, Bigby Street, on Saturday night and music at the Britannia Inn, Wrawby Street.
A traditional market will be held in Brigg town centre from early Saturday morning into the afternoon, offering fruit & veg, flowers and fish. Brigg Heritage Centre, in the Angel building, off the Market Place, will be open from 10am to 2pm.

A new date is being arranged with a performer who failed to make it to Brigg for an appearance last Friday.
We understand that unexpected transport problems meant Craig Lee - comedian and singer - failed to make it to the Woolpack.
He was due to perform a tribute to Kenneth - a character familiar to people who have watched the Benidorm comedy series on TV.
A sizeable audience was planning to enjoy Craig's show at the Market Place venue.
We'll keep you posted about the new date at the Woolie.
