IMPORTANT GAME TONIGHT FOR BRIGG TOWN FC

After a run of disappointing recent results, Brigg Town Football Club's first team will be hoping to get back to winning ways tonight (Tuesday, March 15).
The Zebras, who are fourth in Toolstation Northern Counties East, visit Selby Town who are eighth.
Brigg need to finish fifth or higher to secure an end-of-season promotion play-off spot.
With six league games still to come including tonight's, the Zebras have 68 points - two fewer than third-placed Harrogate Railway, two more than Rossington Main (fifth) and seven more than sixth-placed Retford.
Leaders Hallam and second-in-the-table North Ferriby are well clear of the chasing pack.
Brigg have scored an impressive 116 goals in 34 league matches (only Hallam have more) and have a +60 goal difference which is better than all the teams below Hallam competing for play-off places.
If teams finish level on points at the end of the campaign, goal difference will be the deciding factor.
Selby inflicted Brigg Town's first league defeat of the 2021/22 season when the sides met in a high-scoring clash at the EC Surfacing Stadium (Hawthorns) some months ago.

Brigg Town FC gave permission for a Prostate Cancer Awareness Day to be held at its ground on Saturday (March 12).
The club also promoted this event on the front of the programme (seen below) produced for the first team home game against Harrogate Railway that afternoon.
The Brigg Prostate Cancer Fundraising Group has since informed us that £109 was donated, saying: "Many thanks to the Football Club and the supporters for their generosity."
