It proved to be a disappointing Saturday for all four Brigg football teams which played yesterday (March 5, 2012).
Brigg Town lost 4-2 at Retford but remain third in Toolstation Northern Counties East Division One.
Following goals by Dayle Hutson and Martin Pembleton, the Zebras were leading 2-1 early in the second half. However, Retford managed three goals in the final third of the game.
Brigg Town Development lost 2-0 to Horncastle at the EC Surfacing Stadium (Hawthorns).

In the EC Surfacing Scunthorpe & District League, Briggensians Reserves lost 2-1 to Glenny's at Brigg Recreation Ground. Luke Bowden scored for the Brigg team in this Watson Nursing Cup Group B encounter.
Briggensians lost 4-0 away to The Butchers Arms in Division One.
The scheduled games involving Barnetby United (Division One) and Barnetby Reserves (Division Two) were postponed due to waterlogged pitches.
