BRIGG TOWN FOOTBALLERS NOW SEEM ASSURED OF A PLAY-OFF PLACE

Looking to achieve promotion at the end of the season through the play-offs, Brigg Town Football Club's first teamers have moved up a place in Toolstation Northern Counties East Division One.
The Zebras are now in third spot, having defeated Retford FC 1-0 at the EC Surfacing Stadium (Hawthorns) last night (Wednesday, March 23).
Top scorer Scott Phillips broke the deadlock in the second half, watched by a crowd of 204.
Town have moved above Harrogate Railway, who were held to a 1-1 draw yesterday by mid-table Nostell Miners Welfare.
Just a point from their remaining games will be sufficient for Brigg to make the play-offs.
Even without that point, Brigg's impressive goal difference should be sufficient.
The top team in Division One will go up automatically, with one further place to be decided by play-offs involving the teams which finish second, third, fourth and fifth.
