BOTH APPROVED IN BRIGG: VEHICLE REPAIR GARAGE & NEW SHOP FRONT

Plans for a vehicle repair garage and a new shop front in Brigg have both been approved by North Lincolnshire Council.
The authority has granted permission to erect a single-storey front extension and for sub-division of an existing unit to provide a vehicle repair garage at Unit 5, Island Carr Road, on the industrial estate off Bridge Street.
An assessment report prepared by council planning staff explained: "This is an application for planning permission to sub-divide the existing car storage unit to provide two separate units (5A & 5B).
"Unit 5B to be retained as a car storage facility, and the new Unit 5A, with proposed extension, is to provide a car servicing and repair garage."
Approval has also been given for a new shop front and windows at 64 Wrawby Street.
This three-storey property is grade two listed and within the conservation area.
An assessment report by council planning staff said the introduction of a timber door and timber mullions to separate the shop windows "will ensure consistency of appearance with neighbouring shop fronts."
This property is soon to open as a charity shop operated by Lindsey Lodge Hospice.
