There were busy scenes as a new shop opened in Brigg town centre yesterday (Monday, March 14).
Lindsey's Pre-loved Boutique launched at 64 Wrawby Street, DN20 8JE.
Its first customers waited in the pedestrian area ahead of the doors opening following a tape-cutting ceremony performed by chairman Alan Bell at 10.30am.
Potential shoppers then ventured inside to take a look at the boutique's well-stocked ground floor offering clothing, shoes, boots and much more.
People also viewed the extensive selection of wedding-related dresses and accessories available on the floor above.
Brigg's new addition is a fund-raising outlet for Lindsey Lodge Hospice, Scunthorpe, which offers care and support to people from a wide area.
Hospice staff and supporters of this worthy charity also attended yesterday's launch.
Among the latter was hospice trustee Sir Nic Dakin, the former Scunthorpe MP and ex-North Lincolnshire Council leader. He is pictured here on the first floor of the new shop.
It had been several years since we last met - his office being located on the same floor as the Scunthorpe Telegraph's for some years while the paper was based on Park Square, off Laneham Street, Scunthorpe.
Many Brigg residents we knew visited the Lindsey Boutique when or soon after it opened, including Coun Ann Eardley, a long-serving member of Brigg Town Council.
Lindsey's opening hours are Monday to Saturday inclusive, 9.30am to 4pm.
Outside, on Wrawby Street, we met Coun Peter Clark, from Barrow - the Mayor of North Lincolnshire - who had been giving a talk to Brigg school pupils about what life was like for local youngsters in the 1940s and 1950s. He lived down Mill Lane.
