CHEF FROM BRIGG TASTES NATIONAL SUCCESS AT BRITISH PIE AWARDS 2022

A chef from Brigg is celebrating success in a prestigious national food quality competition.
Linda North (pictured) works for the well-known Uncle Henry's Farm Shop, Butchery & Cafe at Grayingham (near Kirton Lindsey) and they triumphed at the British Pie Awards 2022, held in Leicestershire.
Linda's husband Martin informs us: "Linda won gold, silver and two bronze awards at Melton Mowbray on Friday.
"Of course, Uncle Henrys and ourselves are delighted... gold for steak and ale, silver for lamb and mint, and bronze for chicken and ham, and pork pie."

To put Linda's achievements in context, a record 976 pies from 179 different pie-makers were entered in this year's event!
Linda's dishes for the West Lindsey-based business have collected other British Pie Awards over the years.

Martin and Linda formerly ran a number of local licensed premises in our area, including Brigg's Ancholme Inn, Jollies at Wrawby and the Marquis of Granby in Waddingham.
