THE MOGGIES & FORMER BRIGG MP TO PLAY LOCAL GIG IN AID OF REFUGEES FROM UKRAINE

Former Brigg & Goole MP Ian Cawsey and his band The Moggies will be playing a gig on April 8, 2022 to help refugees from Ukraine

The well-known Moggies band, whose musicians include Ian Cawsey, the former Brigg & Goole MP, is to play at a local fundraising gig in aid of refugees from Ukraine.
The long-established Moggies are to appear at the Millers Barn, Brigg Road, Wrawby, on Friday, April 8.
In return for a tenner, people can enjoy the performance by this 1960s band... "and plenty of food." Pay on the night to gain admission.
A raffle will be held on the night to raise additional cash for the cause.
We anticipate a good attendance, with further details to be announced via the licensed venue (pictured below) in due course.
Meanwhile, people are welcome to call 07762 119306.
Ian says: "Please come along and support this event. It will be a great night but it's to help some people in desperate need."
The first leader of North Lincolnshire Council in the 1990s, after being elected our local MP he played with the House of Commons band.
As a singer and guitarist, Ian has appeared at various events in Brigg town centre including Summerfests and pre-Christmas gigs in the Bandstand (see pictures above).
The Moggies have performed at music nights in the town, including at Brigg & District Servicemen's Club, Coney Court.
While MP, Ian had an office at 7 Market Place (adjoining the entrance to Cary Lane). He represented the local constituency in Parliament from 1997 to 2010.
Also pictured here is the Ukraine flag, recently introduced on the front of North Lincolnshire Council's Angel building in the Market Place.
