WELL-KNOWN BRIGG GROUPS SEEKING GRANTS

There will be a new venue for Brigg Town Council's latest meeting.
For the first time the authority will be using Room S02 in the Angel building (pictured here) DN20 8LD.
The council's monthly meeting is coming up tomorrow - Tuesday, March 22 (at 7.15pm).
An early item on the agenda is Public Participation.
Town Clerk Kerry McGrath explains: "Residents are invited to address the Council. Where possible the Council will respond but are reminded that the Council may be unable to provide answers, but issues raised may be added as a future agenda item."
The authority will be considering requests for grants submitted by the Brigg Morning Women's Institute (WI) and the St John’s Church Bell Ringers.
Environmental Issues will include updates on new bat boxes & bird boxes, and benches for the river bank.
There will also be a report on matters of local interest from the Brigg & Wolds Ward councillors who serve on the North Lincolnshire authority (Coun Rob Waltham and Couns Carl & Nigel Sherwood).
Prior to the Town Council meeting will be one for the Planning & Environment Committee (from 6.45pm at the same venue).
This is also open to interested members of the public.
Committee members will be discussing the latest planning applications submitted in Brigg.
Members of the public wishing to attend on Tuesday night can gain access to the Angel building via the archway from the rear car park (see picture below).
Previous meeting venues used at various times by Brigg Town Council, founded in 1974, have been Hewson House, the Corn Exchange, the Angel Suite, the Buttercross and the Methodist Church Hall.
Brigg Town Council meetings are chaired by Town Mayor Coun Brian Parker, with Coun Sharon Riggall overseeing the Planning & Environment Committee's sessions.
