MARCH 2022 BRIGG FARMERS' MARKET COMING UP

PICTURED: A Brigg Farmers' Market held in ideal sunny weather in March

The first Brigg Farmers' Market to be held in Spring 2022 is coming up on Saturday (March 26) from 8.30am through to the afternoon.
Producers will be offering a wide range of goods, including bread, jam, meat, cheese and beer.
All eyes will be on the weather - a major factor in the attendance by shoppers for these markets hosted by North Lincolnshire Council.
Saturday's monthly farmers' event will supplement the town centre's traditional Saturday market which will offer fruit & veg, flowers and fish.
In attendance on Saturday will be members of the Brigg Pancreatic Cancer Group, raising awareness of this disease.
Shoppers coming by car can take advantage of the council's free parking concession.
Having left their cars in the Old Courts Road or Angel facilities, visitors will be able to view newly-installed public information boards.

Today (Thursday, March 24) there is a traditional market operating, with many stalls.

Brigg Geology Club has a free-to-attend event tonight (Thursday, March 24) on licensed premises in Brigg town centre.
Paul Hildreth, who lives in the town, will be presenting a talk called Hyaenopolis at Brigg Servicemen's Club, Coney Court.
He will be discussing a 120,000-year-old hyaena den "and the research into its important mammalian remains."
