WHEN BRIGG AND BROUGHTON BUSES WILL BE RUNNING OVER CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR



Brigg people thinking of using public transport over the Christmas and New Year period should note when Ashby-based Hornsbys will be operating local buses.
In addition to shopping and social trips to Scunthorpe, buses are useful to those planning to leave their cars at home to down some liquid Christmas spirit on local licensed premises or when visiting the homes of friends and relatives.
Hornsbys will be operating a normal service on Christmas Eve (Friday, December 24) into the evening but the last No 4 service from Scunthorpe to Brigg via Broughton will depart at 5.45pm, while the last from Brigg to the steel town will leave at 6.40pm.
Hornsbys will not be operating buses on Christmas Day, December 27 or December 28. Normal services will run on Wednesday and Thursday, December 29 and December 30.
Hornsbys will run a normal service on New Year's Eve (Friday, December 31) into the evening but the last No 4 service from Scunthorpe to Brigg via Broughton will depart at 5.45pm, while the last from Brigg to Scunthorpe will leave at 6.40pm.
No Hornsbys services will run on New Year's Day, or January 2 and January 3, 2022. The normal timetable will resume on Tuesday, January 4.
