Due to Christmas 2021 and associated bank holidays, North Lincolnshire Council will be making some changes to waste bin and recycling box collections in Brigg.
The first collection after Christmas will be a major one on WEDNESDAY, December 29.
This will involve general waste wheelie bins, plus green and blue recycling boxes filled with paper, cans, glass and aluminium foil. It replaces the scheduled Tuesday collection.
The first pick-up in 2022 will be undertaken on the due date - Tuesday, January 4 - and involve burgundy bins only (containing plastic items and cardboard).
Brigg households' brown bins (garden waste) will be emptied on Tuesday, January 18.
We anticipate the council making its usual Christmas and New Year appeal to residents to recycle as much as possible.
Praise is due to the collection crews for their worthy efforts during what has been a difficult year.
