SPECTATORS LINE ROUTE TO SUPPORT BRIGG CHRISTMAS CHARITY TRACTOR RUN

Spectators of all aged turned out in drizzle to watch the start of the Brigg Christmas Charity Tractor Run near dusk yesterday afternoon (Sunday, December 19, 2021).
A cavalcade of farm vehicles left Ripon Farm Services (RFS) on Westrum Lane at 3.30pm, joined the A1084 on Bigby High Road near the level crossing and signalbox and toured various villages before returning to Brigg along Wrawby Road, Barnard Avenue and Bridge Street. They then visited Scawby and Broughton before finishing back at RFS in the early evening.
The event was organised by Brigg Young Farmers' Club, with funds being raised for the Wish Upon A Star children's charity.
The organisers have said they will let Brigg Blog know the final total, once it has been totted up.
Many of the competing tractors were adorned with Christmas decorations.
Two Patterdale terriers, Lily and Baxter, were among the roadside spectators near the level crossing. View video footage here...
